Gregory V. Stewart was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, but was raised primarily in the small farming community of Meadow, Utah. After serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Paris, France, and working as an intern for a member of the United States House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., Greg graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. He then went to work for a large software company and moved to the East coast, where he worked in the software industry for companies such as WordPerfect, Novell, and Altiris before returning to Brigham Young University's J. Reuben Clark Law School to pursue a degree in law. In law school, Greg served as president of the Government & Politics Legal Society and was an associate editor of the International Law and Management Review.
Greg's current practice focuses mainly on criminal defense, but he also practices in the areas of juvenile law, adoption, and civil litigation. Before joining Dexter & Dexter, he worked for another law firm in the area and in the Utah County Public Defender's Office. Greg is a member of the American Bar Association, the Utah State Bar, and the Central Utah Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all Utah courts, including the Utah Supreme Court, and the Federal District Court for the District of Utah.
Greg and his wife live in Utah Valley with their two children. In his spare time, Greg enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling in the United States and around the world.
